  7. Welcome! Following the Adventures of the Clan Macleod often means wading through large text files, stuffed to overflowing with wonderful tidbits and trivia, just to find a particular episode title. It was due to such distractions that I created this desk accessory.

  9. The intent of the desk accessory was never to replace these great founts of information, simply to gather the more often used information in one place.

Using this desk accessory is easy! Once it’s installed (instructions follow) just choose Highlander Info 1.0 in the Apple menu. A window opens. There’s a scrollbar so you can scroll through the text. Drag the window wherever you want on your screen. It uses very little memory so you can leave it open while you read the Highlander messages or write your Highlander story.

TIP! While this desk accessory is formatted for the most part in Monaco 9 point, there are several headings that are formatted with the Duncan font (on CompuServe, type GO MACFF to locate the Duncan font). For the very best display, install the Duncan screen and printer fonts in your system and use Adobe’s Type Manager (ATM) software. Tip-within-a-tip: Read your “System 7 Read Me” file for a special ATM offer.

  17. For simplicity’s sake, I’ve included both System 7 and System 6 versions of the desk accessory.

  19. • If you are using System 7….

  21. 1. Drag the Highlander Info 1.0 desk accessory to your System Folder.

  23. 2. Click OK when you are asked if you would like the file placed in the Apple Menu Items Folder.

  25. • If you are using System 6….

  27. 1. Use Font/DA Mover to copy the Highlander Info DA into your System file.

  31. 2. Use Suitcase or a similar utility to open the Highlander Info DA.
